Injuries Reported at Walt Disney World - Prince Charming Regal Carrousel Ride

Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom recently issued its quarterly listing of guest injuries. The quarterly report revealed that some rides present dangers for the park's elderly guests. A 77-year-old woman died in December 2010 after riding on the park's Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. A second incident reported occurred on the same ride and also involved a woman over 70 years of age. In the second incident a 71-year-old woman fell and broke her hip and a shoulder after riding the Prince Charming attraction. Disney said in the woman who died in the first incident has a pre-existing heart condition. In a third incident, a 76-year-old woman fell and sustained personal injuries to her left leg whole on the moving loading platform at Epcot's The Seas with Nemo & Friends. In the State of Florida, all major theme parks have a longstanding agreement with the state to report guest injuries on a quarterly basis. Although the rides may be entertaining and exciting, guests of all ages need to be sure they obey all safety rules and keep a watchful eye. Report by Lake County (Florida) Medical Examiner - Drowning of Central State University Athlete (Jasmine Crenshaw) Determined to be Accidental

An autopsy was performed on Central State University athlete - Jasmine Crenshaw - following the drowning incident at a Clermont resort. The medical examiner reported that the death was accidental in nature. The death and drowning of this college student came as quite a surprise to her teammates, the school, her friends, her family, and the community. She was a college athlete in peak shape and showed no signs of poor health or disease prior to the incident. There does not appear to be foul play or any criminal acts involved in the death of Jasmine Crenshaw. See Lake County Medical Examiner: Ohio Athlete Accidentally Drowned.

Swimming in any body of water whether a swimming pool, lake, pond, river, canal, or ocean can be quite dangerous. Some drowning incidents are unavoidable and result from an unexpected acute medical event. Other drowning incidents are avoidable with the implementation of lifeguards, good lighting, the buddy system, rest periods, and other safety precautions.

Central State University Athlete Drowns and Dies at Clermont (Florida) Resort

A drowning was recently reported in Central Florida involving a track athlete from Central State University in Ohio. Jasmine Crenshaw, age 22, ran at a track meet earlier in the day at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University which is located in Daytona Beach, Florida. At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night, Jasmine was seen in the resort's lake at the Summer Bay Resort. Divers later found her body approximately 15 feet from the lake shore in approximately 8 feet of water. Detectives and forensic experts will conduct an investigation as to the cause and manner of death. It is unfortunate that a college student with so much potential died at a such an early age. Disney Magical Express Bus Accident with Semi Tractor Trailer - Personal Injuries to At Least 5 People

The Florida Highway Patrol reported that there was an accident with injuries on Boggy Creek Road in Orlando, Florida involving a Disney Magical Express Bus and a Semi Tractor Tractor. It was also reported that 5 people suffered personal injuries as a result of this bus / truck accident in Central Florida. See Disney's Magical Express Bus Crash Sends Five to Hospital. The crash resulted in approximately 150 gallons of diesel fuel on the road. Fire Rescue and police responded to the scene and shut down Boggy Creek Road to handle the situation. Fortunately, rescue crews were able to clean up the area to avoid any further injuries resulting from this unfortunate bus / truck accident.
